In 2025, partners of the Solar Universities network contributed to the development and implementation of large-scale photovoltaic systems for industrial applications in Uzbekistan. The projects were realized in cooperation with local industry and academic partners and supported by applied expertise from the Solar Universities network.

The installations demonstrate the growing role of solar energy in reducing industrial energy costs and emissions, while also serving as reference projects for education, research, and workforce development. Academic partners were involved in accompanying technical assessments and knowledge exchange, strengthening the link between applied research and real-world deployment.
