The Institute of Energy of Tajikistan is one of the country’s key higher education institutions specializing in energy engineering, power systems, and technical education for the energy sector. Established in 2006, the institute plays an important role in preparing future engineers and technical specialists who contribute to the development of Tajikistan’s energy infrastructure and renewable energy transition.

Located in the Khatlon region, the institute combines theoretical education with applied technical training in fields related to electricity generation, transmission systems, energy efficiency, and modern engineering technologies. Its academic focus strongly aligns with the objectives of the Solar Universities network, particularly in renewable energy education, photovoltaic applications, and regional research cooperation.

By joining the Solar Universities initiative, the Institute of Energy of Tajikistan strengthens cross-border academic collaboration in Central Asia and contributes to the exchange of expertise in solar energy systems, grid integration, and sustainable power solutions.
