The “Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University” was founded as part of the reorganization of the “Ust-Kamenogorsk University of Education” in 1992. The university is divided into four faculties: Faculty of Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Technologies; Faculty of Economics and Law; Faculty of Psychology, Pedagogy and Culture, Faculty of History, Philology and International Relations. There are 19 chairs at the university (as of February 2024). Furthermore, the university has three of its own research laboratories.
The Sarsen Amanzholov East Kazakhstan University is very interested in the international exchange of experience and knowledge transfer and actively cooperates with over 90 universities from more than 20 countries. The university participates in international educational programs, including Erasmus+, DAAD and Erasmus.
